Survey on Evidence-Based Craniofacial Approximation

Panacea Cooperative Research is pleased to support a research initiative led by Eszter Somjai, PhD researcher at the University of Dundee, investigating evidence-based methods for forensic craniofacial approximation. The project aims to improve the estimation of facial features by translating existing scientific knowledge into standardized, replicable workflows using the open-source platform 3D Slicer.

As part of this collaboration, practicing forensic craniofacial approximation professionals are invited to contribute to the study by evaluating the usability of the developed resources and, optionally, by participating in postmortem CT data collection. The feedback gathered from practitioners will help validate the methodology and contribute to the development of more robust and reproducible approaches for forensic facial approximation.
