THE EVENT
This presentation will explore two lesser-known areas of forensic casework undertaken by SRi Forensics over the past 20 years: forensic injury depiction and the electronic presentation of evidence. Using real-world examples from SRi’s work, Ray Evans will demonstrate how forensic expertise and visual communication can help present complex and sensitive evidence effectively in court.
Photographs are the standard method for documenting crime scenes and injuries, but graphic images are not always the most appropriate way to communicate the extent of injuries to a jury, particularly when the subject matter is distressing. Forensic injury depiction provides an alternative by accurately illustrating the nature and extent of injuries while reducing the emotional impact of viewing graphic photographs.
The presentation will also examine SRi’s pioneering work in the electronic presentation of evidence. In 2004, SRi developed a digital system that effectively created an internal website containing a trial’s evidence, significantly reducing the time, paperwork and logistical burden involved in presenting large volumes of evidence in court.
This event takes place on November 5, 2026 at 4pm CET.
