THE EVENT

In May, we will be at one of our favourite conferences, the EAFS (The European Academy of Forensic Science) – this year from May 26-30 in beautiful Dublin, Ireland.

Besides our booth in the exhibition section of the conference where you could learn about the different products we develop in the area of forensic identification, our research team will also be presenting different topics in workshops, posters and oral presentations. THE TEAM

Sebastian Kaiser

Sebastian Kaiser, with an MSc. in computer science, is the CMO of Panacea and an expert in the development of new technologies for digital transformation in the field of forensic science. He leads global for-profit and non-profit projects.

Rosario Guerra

Predoctoral researcher specialized in Craniofacial Identification techniques. She contributed to the development of a semi-automated comparison method for 3D skull models and facial photographs and is the head of Forensic Anthropology and Forensic Archaeology at ETAF.

Dr. Óscar Ibáñez

Óscar Ibáñez is a founding member of Panacea, a Ph.D. in computer science, and a senior researcher at the University of La Coruña. With nearly 20 years of experience in research and transfer, he is a world pioneer in the application of AI in forensic sciences.

Dr. Enrique Bermejo

Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2018 from the University of Granada, Spain. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Granada, after a period as foreign researcher at the National Research Institute of Police Science (NRIPS, Japan). His main research interests are computer vision and machine learning applications to medical imaging and forensic anthropology.

Mª Alejandra Guativonza

Master’s degree in Physical and Forensic Anthropology, Bachelor’s degree in An​thropology. PhD student in Biomedicine and Researcher in Facial and Craniofacial Identification methods.
