Forensic Dentistry in India: Past, Present, and Future

Published on March 20, 2025

THE EVENT

Forensic dentistry has played a vital role in India since the 1960s, evolving from a niche discipline into an essential component of dental education. By the 1970s, it was integrated into dental curricula, and in the 21st century, its scope has expanded significantly—yet, trained forensic odontologists remain scarce.

Many dental schools organize specialized teaching-learning sessions to bridge this gap, bringing in expert forensic odontologists to provide a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on, case-based training. These sessions not only enrich academic understanding but also expose participants to real-world forensic casework.

This event offers a rare opportunity to gain insights from an expert who has been at the forefront of forensic odontology in India. With experience in high-profile casework and pioneering translational research, our speaker brings firsthand knowledge from India’s first exclusive forensic odontology department.

Join us for this online event on Thursday, March 27, at 4 pm CET.
